The Kungsbacka Trio last visited us in 2006, nine years after they were formed. They had then won First Prize in the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, joined the Young Classical Artists Trust, the BBC Radio 3's New Generation Artists scheme and had been selected as "Rising Stars" by the European Concert Halls Organisation. Since then they have consolidated their position as an internationally leading trio. The Strad asked "Is there a better trio in Western Europe?". Their recordings for Naxos of the complete Mozart and complete Haydn Trios have been generously acclaimed.

The Kungsbacka Piano Trio is an ensemble known for the players' seamless, instinctive level of co-ordination, the way every corner was turned as a threesome, and their uncontainable delight. The Strad.

Note: At 6.30 pm there will be a pre-concert talk.  Details here.
