Entry for 2026-27 Season

Under 26s are free on the door.

The Society depends very much on donations; I am told that those who do donate feel much better for it. Becoming a Friend or a Sponsor is a formal and generous way to donate, but you can also just add a donation to what you pay for an individual ticket or membership.

There are four ways to buy entry to our concerts. Note that we no longer have physical tickets or membership cards. We just greet you by name on the night.

Individual concerts: Entry for individual concerts can be bought online from Aug 1 for £20 each (plus a small commission) from TicketSource (phone: 0333 666 3366). If a concert is cancelled, TicketSource will make an automatic refund. You can also pay, if there is still room, on the door by cash or card.

Membership: Membership gives entry to all 5 concerts for £80 per person. To join, please make a bank transfer, as described below, to our account. If you are able to please add a donation to the Society. (You can also buy membership through TicketSource but there is a c.£6 commission on an £80 membership.)

Friends of Nicholas Yonge: Thanks to a generous anonymous donation we are able to introduce this new category of membership with the promise of an additional musical event during the year for those who become Friends. Friends are also encouraged to bring along, once a year for free, someone who has not been to an NYS concert either ever, or for a very long time. The cost, which includes entry to all 5 concerts, is £150 for one person, or £250 for a couple.

Sponsorship: Sponsorship gives all the benefits of being a Friend plus reserved seats in the hall and acknowledgement in the programme if you wish. A single sponsorship costs £300 (inclusive of £80 membership); for a couple it is £400 (including 2 memberships).

Payment: Payment to become a Member, Friend or Sponsor should be made by bank transfer to Nicholas Yonge Society, CAF Bank, 40-52-40, 00009344. Please also send our Treasurer Alan Winters (L.Alan.Winters@gmail.com) an email telling him what you have done. Part of these payments is eligible for Gift Aid. If you have not already filled in a Gift Aid form for us please do so. One can be downloaded from our website here. Discounts with our neighbours: NYS membership gives you a £2 or £3 discount on the individual concert price at Uckfield Music Club or at Seaford Music Society. Reciprocally, members of those societies get a £3 discount on our individual concert ticket when bought on the door.

Programmes: Programmes with extensive notes can be downloaded a few days before each concert. Free paper versions are also available on the night.
