The Sacconi last played for Nicholas Yonge in 2012 when they were joined by the Aurora Ensemble in a memorable concert of the Beethoven Septet and Schubert Octet. Now they make a long overdue return to mark two anniversaries: 125 years since William Walton’s birth and 200 years since the death of Beethoven. They have previously performed late Beethoven quartets from memory in the dark, but do not plan to do that here.
